Equipment
I have always loved photography, growing up using my father's Olympus OM-10 35mm camera with the classic 50mm f/1.8 Zuiko lens to learn. Keeping that tradition alive, when I finally decided to go digital I purchased an Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mk. I with a 14-40mm f/2.8 M.Zuiko PRO lens. Unfortunately the OM-10 no longer works, but I do still enjoy burning through the occassional film roll on my Minolta SRT 201- an absolute tank of a camera body. For most of my photography, I now use an Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mk. II.
Nature Photograpy
Nothing is more calming that the adventure into humankind's natural place, and enjoy the restorative power of nature. Because of this, there is no subject I enjoy photographing more than the waterfalls hidden in the far away forests.
Theater Photography
I am the photographer for the Legacy Theater and Music Company, a wonderful troupe of performers ran by the my close friend, the talented and driven Jessica Strezpek. If you or your children are interested in music, dance, or theater in the Charlotte area, I cannot recommend this place enough!
VesselFinder
When I travel to the beach, I find a lot of fun in photographing the many ships traveling in and out of port. Looking at AIS data through VesselFinder or other means to see where the ships have come from and where they are sailing to next is also a fun part of the hobby.
